Josh Borock is a writer and director based in Brooklyn known for his elevated cinematic comedy and extensive sweater collection. Over the last fifteen years, Josh has written and directed network promotional spots for Key & Peele, Portlandia, Tosh.O, Brockmire, Workaholics, Kroll Show and comedians Amy Schumer, Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney, Kevin Hart, Nathan Fielder, Michael Che and yes, even Larry The Cable Guy. Don’t judge.
His writing for the Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe won Clio gold for best promo in 2017 and a Facebook 360 video he directed for the Comedy Central series Another Period took home a Promax Award for best use of VR. He’s very proud that his comedy short, Copy That (Michael Torpey and Ali Wentworth) was accepted into the Austin Spotlight Film Festival.
Additionally, Josh has flexed his creative muscle in the branded content space directing spots for Kraft, Pepsi, Groupon, McDonald’s, Bud Light, T-Mobile, Dish Network, Dr. Pepper and ESPN and eBay, teaming up with b-ball legend, Jalen Rose.
When he’s not writing, directing or wanting to collaborate with you, he’s spending time with his super smart wife, three rowdy boys and a new dog.
